About the role
The Programme Officer acts as the first point of contact for queries from students and academic staff within the School of Law. They must carry out detailed and accurate work that supports the delivery of our taught programmes and enables student lifecycle activities to run smoothly. With support to develop a working knowledge of regulations and processes, the Programme Officer is responsible for ensuring that our service to students and staff is seamless and effective.
King’s College operates a hybrid working policy and more details of this will be made available at interview.
There are two posts available – one in the undergraduate programmes team and one in the postgraduate taught programmes team.
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Excellent organisational and time management skills
2. Ability to work independently and take initiative
3. Ability to work as part of a team and relate to a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft documents and correspondence
5. Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse complex data
6. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new systems
7. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy at all times
8. Understanding of good customer service, and ability deliver this to a high standard
Desirable criteria
1. Degree level or equivalent qualification
2. Experience of working as an administrator in higher education
3. Experience of working in a customer-facing environment
