About the role

We are excited to be launching a new team within King’s Digital Student Support. The Student Engagement team has the mission of building online distance learners’ sense of belonging and community at King’s, leading to their positive student experience and academic success.

The new team will provide expertise and understanding of what engagement means for online distance learners, creating mechanisms to build a sense of belonging and community, bringing innovation and new approaches to the student experience.

The Engagement team will oversee all proactive communication to online distance learners from King’s Digital, ensuring timely, tailored and relevant student engagement.

The Student Engagement Manager will, with the support of the Student Engagement Advisor, lead the curation and delivery of a programme of events, community building and communication and engagement initiatives. The Manager will bring innovation and creativity in building students’ engagement, recognising distance learners are located across the globe, often balancing study with work and other commitments.

This is a leadership role requiring an experienced professional who understands the challenges as well as the opportunities for student engagement, and is able to work collaboratively with others to ensure achievement of deliverables and demonstration (through evaluation) of success.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

Please note: Due to the high level of interest in this position, the job advert may close earlier than the specified deadline if we receive a large number of applications. We encourage early submission to avoid disappointment.
