About us
The post-holder will use their expert email marketing and campaign management skills to support the student recruitment activities of the Brand & Marketing department, including creating marketing emails, setting up automated journeys, building complex segmentation and reporting on email performance.
About the role
- Build email automation journeys, configure emails, run reports.
- Support the delivery of CRM marketing activities, CRM channel content and meeting deadlines – primarily for student recruitment purposes
- Follow and support the agreed briefing process for CRM marketing activities
- Report to the CRM Marketing Manager on campaigns, CRM marketing activities and specific projects as required
- Work with autonomy on projects as required, being trusted to deliver and meet objectives
- Support the development and implementation of the Brand & Marketing department’s student recruitment campaign structure, including: Consuming campaign briefs, Collaborating with the CRM Marketing Manager to decide on approach,proposed activity and evaluation measures, Support the reporting requirements of the Brand & Marketing department and maintain CRM governance
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the Brand & Marketing department’s target and internal audiences, such as Prospective Students, Professional Prospective Students, Current Students, Parents, Teachers, Counsellors and Agents
- Advocate CRM marketing best practice throughout interactions with colleagues and key stakeholders across the university
- Contribute to appropriate meetings, projects, working groups or committees as required
- Support the Head of Relationship Management, Operations on wider CRM-related activities where capacity allows or on high priority projects/tasks.

About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience of utilising CRM or equivalent tools to deliver marketing communications, with particular weight on email marketing, segmentation and automation
- Excellent knowledge of email marketing best practice and ability to translate knowledge into practical solutions (copywriting, template design, automation design)
- Experience of building segmentation to identify the correct contacts for campaign activities, including complex queries across multiple data entities
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS and additional coding languages where appropriate
- Working knowledge of data protection best practice (GDPR, PECR) and the importance of demonstrating compliance
- Demonstrable experience reporting on CRM channel activities, such as email marketing or SMS
- Strong copywriting and proof-reading skills with a high attention to detail
Desirable criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Understanding of the student recruitment journey within the context of Higher Education
- Familiarity with design tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365
