About the role

This role is central to our new customer focused content team that will support these key digital platforms through content governance, management and guidance. The essential function of this team is to support the governance of these platforms and, where relevant, to collaborate with content creators across the organisation, leading on innovation, content strategy and process.

As well as supporting best practice the successful candidate will also be creative and bring a range of experience across different content types that can enable us to bring the King’s story to life and ensure information discovery across these platforms.

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  1. A degree in English, Digital Media, Communications or relevant subject.
  2. Designs and delivers innovative and creative digital ideas which engage the right audience with the right content at the right time.
  3. Must be able to create great content across different content types – web pages, blogs, podcasts, videos, infographics.
  4. Solid research skills, able to use analytics information to understand opportunities, re-think existing content and advise others.
  5. Understands SEO, both on page and off page.
  6. Skilled in content strategy, able to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable steps to creating the right type of content.
  7. Knowledge of digital accessibility, WCAG 2.2 and assistive technologies.
  8. Understands and promotes digital governance, able to encourage and support others on compliance.
  9. Fundamental understanding of how people use the internet, digital skill levels and how to write in plain English.

Desirable criteria

  1. Digital marketing /communications qualification
  2. Experience working in Higher Education
