We are seeking committed and effective research leaders to develop King’s academic relationship with the Francis Crick Institute, building on current strengths and developing wider basic and clinical research and training connections.

This high-profile role will require at least 0.2 FTE, potentially 0.3 FTE at times and depending on prior experience, and is available immediately.

The Academic Lead role

Application process

Candidates should write a short statement (about one side of A4) on their interest in the position and the approach they would take in fulfilling the role.  They should also complete the short application form, which asks about:

  • Experience in relevant research areas and familiarity with the Francis Crick Institute
  • Academic leadership experience in multidisciplinary or cross-Faculty research areas
  • Management and organisational experience
  • Contributions to doctoral training

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an informal interview with a small senior panel. Practical arrangements, support, and start date will be discussed with the successful candidate.
