About the role

We have an exciting opening for an outstanding candidate to join the Department of Human Resource Management & Employment Relations at Lecturer level. This post is a part-time, fixed-term and Education-focused position.

The role holder will contribute to the delivery of high-quality education on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes, using a variety of methods to teach classes, supervise projects, assess student learning and provide feedback that is timely, relevant and appropriate. The role holder will also engage in high-quality research and/or scholarly activity, attend research-related meetings, and participate in recognised academic networks and conferences. They will also carry out academic duties as requested by the Executive Dean or Head of Department.

The part-time post will be either 0.3FTE and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 30th September 2025.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

1.      PhD in relevant subject area (applicants close to submission or with substantial work experience will also be considered)

2.      Experience of teaching relevant topics at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level and willingness to contribute to the pastoral care of students

3.      Experience of being innovative in contemporary HRM-related teaching

4.      Evidence of a pipeline of research/scholarly activities with potential for excellent future outputs and/or impact

Desirable criteria

1.      Engagement in professional organisations (conference papers, workshops, memberships)

2.      Willingness to carrying out academic administration

3.      Willingness to collaborate with colleagues in the Faculty and university
