The School of Education, Communication & Society at King's will be hosting the first in-person meeting of the UK Girl Studies Network on 12 August on Waterloo Campus.
The full-day event will include time and space to meet, share and discuss current work around girl studies, connecting scholars with practitioners in the field. Anyone with an interest in girl studies, or gender and youth research more broadly, is welcome to come along - including people from outside of King's, and non-academics.
We are currently finalising the details of the event and will be updating this page regularly. We can already confirm that Dr Victoria Cann, from the University of East Anglia, will be running a participatory zine-making session.
Dinner/drinks will follow in the evening; place TBA.
Contact Hannah Walters for more information and to confirm your place.
What is the UK Girl Studies Network?
It is a group of scholars and practitioners working in the UK with an interest in the rights, lives, identities and experiences of girls, children and gender-variant youth more broadly.
