Chair: Dr Aviva Guttmann, Marie Curie Senior Research Fellow at SDU and Research Fellow in Intelligence and International Security at KCL
This is a Women's Intelligence Network (WIN) Brown Bag Lunch Series event
In this talk, Dr Sophia Hoffman will present some results of three years research into the relations between East and West German intelligence agencies with the Arab republics of Iraq, Syria and Egypt. These relations were very varied and shaped by many different factors, some of which she will zoom in on. At the end, she will draw some tentative conclusions about what factors were more important than others, and what research avenues should and could be pursued further.
