Responsible Business Salon #3: 'The Blackfish Effect' with Professor Stephan Manning
Join us for a morning of innovative discussion and collaboration at our Responsible Business Salon, hosted every month at the Centre for Sustainable Business (CSB), King’s Business School.
Our third salon will be led by Stephan Manning, professor of Strategy and Innovation at the University of Sussex Business School. His current research focuses on responses to global societal challenges; social innovation and entrepreneurship; and global value chains. Stephan also has a continuous interest in project entrepreneurship and project-based organizing.
Professor Manning will be giving a talk on 'The Blackfish effect: Cultural activism, collective emotions, and the deinstitutionalization of organizational practices', based on a working paper co-authored with Jean-Baptiste Litrico, Hadi Shaheen, and Joel Gehman.
About the Salon Series
Launching in September 2024, our monthly Responsible Business Salon series provides an informal space for colleagues and postgraduate students to gather and exchange new ideas around a central topic within sustainable business.
We’re inviting experts from both our internal and external networks to lead each salon, sharing their latest research to catalyse discussion and spark creative thinking.

Who's this event for?
The series invites staff from all faculties, researchers and PhD students who are passionate about sustainability and keen to be part of a leading thinktank of sustainability solutions.
