About the speakers:

Richard Portes (LBS)
Richard Portes, Professor of Economics at London Business School, is Founder and Honorary President of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and Co-Founder of Economic Policy. He is an elected Fellow of the Econometric Society and of the British Academy.

Nathaniel Benjamin (Bank of England)
Nathanaël (Nat) Benjamin was appointed Executive Director for Financial Stability Strategy and Risk and a member of the Financial Policy Committee (FPC) in December 2023. The FPC is the United Kingdom’s ‘macroprudential’ authority and it is tasked by Parliament with ensuring financial stability so that the UK financial system is able to absorb rather than amplify shocks and serve UK households and businesses.

Saad Siddiqui (JP Morgan)
Saad Siddiqui is Managing Director of Emerging Markets Macro Research at J.P Morgan in New York, where he leads teams focused on investment strategy and research for EM currencies and bonds. Saad has consistently ranked top-3 in the Institutional Investor survey throughout his tenure. 

Vicky Pryce (CEBR)
Vicky Pryce is Chief Economic Adviser at the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR). She was previously Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting, Director General for Economics at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and Joint Head of the UK Government Economic Service.

Chair: Eshe Nelson (New York Times)
Eshe Nelson is an economics and business reporter for The New York Times in London, where she covers European economic and monetary policies. Before joining The Times, she was a reporter for Quartz and Bloomberg News. She is a former Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia University.
