Join the Science Gallery London for a screening of The Directors: Mark, one of a series of five short films by artist Marcus Coates being screened for World Mental Health Day as part of a collaboration between Artangel and King's College London's Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN).

Produced by Artangel, The Directors is a collaboration between artist Marcus Coates and five individuals in recovery from different lived experiences of psychosis. Positioned behind the camera, each individual directed Coates in a filmed re-staging of particular episodes from their lives.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion exploring the role of the arts and artists in re-framing how people think about and discuss mental health. Chaired by Sophie Leighton, Director of Bethlem Gallery, the panel includes director Mark Banham; audiovisual artist and psychodynamic psychotherapist Stephen Rudder; and Dr Sotiris Posporelis, a neuropsychiatrist and senior lecturer at the IoPPN at King's.
