Join the Royal Navy Strategic Studies Centre (RNSSC) and Security & Defence PLuS (S&D+) for the Athena Series: Women in Strategy Conference.

This one-day event will be held at King’s College London on the 219th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, will focus on the critical contributions of women in strategic roles and leadership within the naval context and beyond.

We have a renowned line-up of strategy and security experts from the Royal Navy, across Whitehall, academia and industry. Panellists will discuss topics ranging from leadership strategy, to threat management, operations, and grand strategy and alliance dynamics.

 Notable speakers include:

• Baroness Gisela Stuart, Civil Service Commissioner, Member of the House of Lords

• Rt Hon Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Former Minister of State for Indo-Pacific

• Suzanne Raine, Joint Research Strand Leader, Centre for Geopolitics, University of Cambridge

• Clare Gallagher, Deputy Director, Strategy and Policy, Royal Navy

• Faye Murray, Minister Counsellor of the Australian Submarine Agency, Australian High Commission in the United Kingdom
