Join us at this first seminar of the 2022/23 Sustainability Seminar Series focused on Black Environmentalism.
To mark Black History Month, we are delighted to invite Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, author of Green Deen: What Islam Teaches about Protecting the Planet. Working both with communities and wider organisations, Abdul-Matin is a leader of climate justice for Black and brown folks across the US and faith based activism. He is the co-founder of Green Squash Consulting - a management consulting firm based in New York that works with people, organisations, companies, coalitions and governments committed to equity and justice, and specialises in dynamic strategic and focused stakeholder management and partnership development. He sits on the boards of the International Living Future Institute encouraging the creation of a regenerative built environment and Sapelo Square whose mission is to celebrate and analyse the experiences of Black Muslims in the United States.
The event will last 1.5 hours including time for a Q&A.
