Women in Science Week celebrates women working in science within the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences, the university and beyond. The week coincides with Ada Lovelace Day, an international celebration of the world's first computer programmer.

Monday 11 October

• 12.00 - 13.15: Women in Science: Topics in Mathematics.
• 13.00 - 14.00: Understanding the gendered and intersectional inequalities in academic STEM.

Tuesday 12 October

• 12:00 - 13:30: Ada Lovelace Day keynote event - Evelyn Welch in discussion with Professor Deborah Ashby.

Wednesday 13 October

• 14.00 - 15.30: Dealing with bias and diversity in Artificial Intelligence.
• 15.30 - 17.30: Physics Research Showcase.

Friday 15 October

• 10:00 - 11:30: The Challenges & Opportunities of Making Cities Sustainable, Resilient and Inclusive. Professor Anusha Shah, Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor.
