The Dickson Poon School of Law has created a series of four lectures to celebrate 100 years of women being allowed to enter the legal profession.
Alongside these celebrations the Dickson Poon School of Law has launched a widening participation project, working with Colleges of Further Education in London, to encourage applications from mature students to universities in the Russell Group and, in particular, to increase the numbers recruited to study law at King’s.
As part of this initiative we aim to raise funds to support bursaries for mature women who wish to study law at King’s. Our centenary lectures will work to highlight the importance of women’s contribution to law and the legal profession and will promote the King's College London Strategic Vision, which places knowledge at the heart of all our activities.
