King’s Academy hosts 'ConnectED: Induction for King’s Educators' which offers new colleagues who teach* an introduction to education at King’s. 

King's Academy's mission is to enhance and develop the potential of all academics and professional services colleagues who support education - from early-career to experienced faculty and those in leadership roles - through structured professional development, mentorship, and evidence-informed practices.

Attendees will find out about the programmes available to support teaching and learning, and top tips to help them unlock their future at King’s. Whether it’s gaining accreditation, curriculum design, thinking about assessment, or embedding sustainability and inclusion into your practice, King’s Academy has a range of proactive opportunities available. Attendees will also meet and network with other new colleagues from across the College.

The event will include: 

  • An introduction to education at King’s – what is it like to teach at King’s?
  • An introduction to King’s students including a panel session featuring student representatives. 
  • Parallel sessions showcasing how King’s Academy can support you as an educator.

The events run in September and January, with the next event taking place on 8th January 2025. If you new to King's in teaching and learning, you should be automatically invited/ 

Colleagues new to teaching students at King’s are strongly encouraged to attend this event.  

Refreshments: Teas and coffees will be available throughout, with lunch provided. If you have allergies or further dietary requirements, please email kings-academy@kcl.ac.uk.  Please note, while we will endeavor to meet your dietary requirements, this cannot be guaranteed. 

*This opportunity is open to those on all types of contracts at King’s. If an element of your role involves a teaching component, you are welcome to attend. Please note if you are a GTA there is a separate induction for you, please contact kings-academy@kcl.ac.uk.'
