Sebastian Omlor: A New Private International Law for Crypto-assets: the HCCH Digital Tokens Project
Online
12Feb
Abstract: In its Digital Tokens Project, the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) examines the need to develop an uniform private international law for digital tokens. The focus is primarily on the objective connecting factors, but also on the scope of freedom of choice of law. Professor Sebastian Omlor takes part in the HCCH proceedings as an expert for the German Federal Department of Justice and will report on both the current status and his own approaches to a private international law for digital tokens.
