RISO Print Week
Science Gallery London, Guy’s Campus, London
As part of our exhibition, Vital Signs: Another World is Possible, we invite you to create a RISO print that will serve as your gallery guide, helping you uncover secrets concealed within the exhibition. The print has been designed by our printer-in-residence, Jo Brinton of Good Studio. This is your chance to create and own a print using one of the most sustainable printing practices available today.
RISO printing combines elements of screen printing and photocopying to create an environmentally friendly way of producing zines, posters, flyers and more. RISO printing can produce unique shifts in alignment each time, so no two zines are the same. RISO Print Week gives you the chance to delve into this environmentally friendly practice and discover more ways that this sustainable printing practice has been used to create zines, posters and more within the Vital Signs exhibition.
Vital Signs brings together artists, designers, and researchers to reveal unique perspectives on our environment, reinforcing that humans are fundamentally a part of nature rather than apart from it.
RISO Print Week takes place from the 26th February to the 1st March at Science Gallery London.
Please book the day you would like to come to create your RISO print and visit the Gallery during the exhibition opening times (Wednesday – Saturday, 11am-6pm) to take part.
The print in this workshop is designed by printer-in-residence Jo Brinton of Good Studio.
