Research in the Global South

The Research Culture team (Arts and Humanities) and the Global Cultures Institute are hosting a roundtable discussion on research in the Global South, open to all King's staff and students.

The discussion will address a range of important topics, including intellectual and theoretical perspectives on research in the Global South, as well as the methodologies employed in such studies. It will explore the nature of collaborative relationships, both with research organisations and individual researchers, as well as the exchange of knowledge that takes place within these partnerships.
In addition, the event will cover collaborations with local partners, such as NGOs, government agencies, and communities, and the role these relationships play in shaping research. Further discussions will delve into the impact of research and its implications for policy, along with the challenges and requirements related to grant funding and working with funders.
Ethics and integrity in research will also be a key focus, as well as the practical, structural, operational, and administrative considerations that arise in the context of research in the Global South.
