Reimagining Placements: A Hypothetical GP Surgery Using AI Interaction

Join us for this workshop exploring the bespoke virtual placements delivered for Nursing students at King’s College London. Enjoy a demonstration of these bespoke virtual placements and a discussion on the way AI is used to create simulated patient scenarios, including interactions with relatives and family members.

Join a discussion of the challenges faced in traditional placements and why AI has been introduced in these placements, before a focus on student interactions with and feedback on the platform.

You’ll also have an opportunity to try the platform out for yourself.

You do not need any prior knowledge of AI to enjoy this event. This event may be of particular interest to educators and other staff working in education and particularly those who support students to undertake placements in any setting.

Workshop facilitators

Benham Jafari Salim is a Digital Learning Specialist in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery, & Palliative Care, King’s College London. He has expertise in VR, AI simulation, and programme and content design. Passionate about transforming education, he utilises immersive technology to enhance learning experiences and outcomes.

Aby Mitchell is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing Education in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery, & Palliative Care, King’s College London, with an education portfolio relating to teaching primary care, health promotion and public health and simulation and immersive technologies.
