Reclaiming Narratives: an Evening of Spoken Word
Maughan Library, Strand Campus, London
Due to tube strikes, this event is now scheduled to take place on Tuesday 26th November.
As an extension of Black History Month, SSPP is hosting an evening of spoken word and poetry.
Spotlighting the experiences of Black Heritage students and those who identify as belonging to a Minority group, the evening will explore this year's BHM theme Reclaiming Narratives through six students sharing their reflections on the theme and what it means to them.
Alongside student performers, we are very excited to be joined by a special guest from Poetic Unity, a charity that 'uses poetry as a tool to give a voice to the voiceless; supporting young people's education, confidence, self esteem and mental wellbeing'.
We will have performances and refreshments all evening. There will also be artwork on display from our BHM Brush and Bubbles evening, featuring work from both students and staff.
All KCL students and staff welcome!
