In this session, we continue our exploration of José Esteban Muñoz's modern classic Cruising Utopia: The Then and There of Queer Futurity (NYU Press, 2009). This month we will discuss chapter 2 ('Ghosts of Public Sex: Utopian Longings, Queer Memories'; pp. 33-48) and chapter 3 ('The Future is in the Present: Sexual Avant-Gardes and the Performance of Utopia'; pp.49-64) of the book.
