Puck is a computationally creative AI system that uses many different AI techniques to design games. We use ideas from across the field of artificial intelligence, like computational evolution, a set of algorithms inspired by the natural world, and Monte Carlo tree search, a technique for playing games that was used by the AlphaGo system that beat Lee Sedol in 2016. We're building Puck as part of our research into how AI might affect the future of human creativity.
What do we want computers to do for us in the future? Can AI help us be creative without getting in the way? Watch Puck design games live, and try them out yourself, with Puck designer Dr Michael Cook on-hand to answer questions.
This event is in-person. Registration is not required.
This event is part of the King's Festival of Artificial Intelligence, running from Wednesday 24 to Sunday 28 May 2023, which brings together speakers, exhibits, demos and screenings in an exciting programme of events. Take a look at the other events here.
