Speaker: Iaan Gordon

At this event hosted by the Forum for Private Security Research, Iaan Gordon will explore the dynamic collaboration between the public and private sectors in the security landscape. He will discuss the critical role of private security providers, their contributions to the field, and the regulations and professional standards they must uphold.

Iann Douglas Gordon

About the speaker:

A former British Army officer, Iaan Gordon was commissioned into the 7th Duke of Edinburgh's Own Gurkha Rifles and later saw active service as an officer in HM the Sultan of Oman's Armed Forces. He went on to command as Assistant Commissioner with the Gurkha Contingent of the Singapore Police Force.

He founded IDG Security to create employment opportunities for skilled, retired Gurkhas, later expanding the business to include a broader national and international workforce. Today, with a staff of nearly 3,000 and a strong international presence, IDG Security stands as a highly regarded private security provider.
