Strand Campus, London

About the event

Join us for the first King’s Physics Teacher Conference for a day of scintillating talks and discussions on the latest research and most exciting topics in physics.

This in-person event in central London is open to physics teachers from London and beyond, as well as graduate students interested in physics education. This is an opportunity to hear from researchers at the cutting-edge of physics, who will explain their work across a range of topics from the quantum to the cosmological, refreshing and expanding your knowledge beyond the curriculum. Talks, demonstrations and tours of research labs will bring these topics to life, with pointers for how you can connect them to your classroom teaching.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

If the conference is over-subscribed, we will prioritise places to physics teachers at schools that meet the following criteria:

  • State secondary school or college
  • Local to King's
  • Non-selective secondary school, or sixth form college
  • Higher proportion of students eligible for Free School Meals

Register now by completing this online form.

Please complete the application form by Friday 2 May. We will offer places by Friday 9 May. Please then confirm your place with us by Friday 31st May. Any places not confirmed by this date will be offered to the waiting list.
