Join the Centre for Mexican Studies for a workshop to create craft lifelike flowers using paper for the Day of the Dead altar.
In this workshop, participants will learn to craft vibrant crepe or tissue paper flowers, an essential element in decorating Día de los Muertos altars (ofrendas). We will delve into the cultural significance of these flowers, particularly marigolds (cempasúchil), and show participants a real Ofrenda.
- King's Alumni, Staff and general public are welcome.
- This workshop is suitable for children 6+ years. Adult assistance may be required for younger learners.
- Materials, guidance and instructions included in the free ticket.
- All workshop participants require a ticket to access the venue.
