A volunteering opportunity to support your development

Taking up a volunteer role is a great way to connect with your local community and develop your skills for its benefit. There are currently 20,000 school governance vacancies across England and Wales, and schools need dedicated volunteers to fill them.

Governors for Schools, a charity working to source board-level volunteers and strengthen schools across the country, are hosting an Introduction to Governance webinar on the 13th February 2025, for staff and alumni who would like to find out more about the opportunity.
