This session will explore aspects of the historical journey of Mental Health Act 1983 in England and Wales and the major developments that have occurred up until the current review. There will be presentations on the section forms, a short film from people who have undertaken different social work roles and a talk from an Approved Mental Health Professional who has been subject to the Act.
