Organised by the Russian and Eurasian Security Research Group and the War Studies Department
Are the Russians coming? Is there some 'Gerasimov Doctrine' or some 'new way of war'? In an age in which hackers and trolls share the headlines with conventional military instruments, and in light of Russia's denied or proxy actions in Crimea and the Donbas, this is very much a concern of the moment. How far are the Russians simply adapting to the new circumstances of the modern world, though, and what are the real policy debates taking place in Moscow?
