Let’s AI-Prep Together: A Student and Teacher Dialogue
Join us for this workshop exploring the potential and challenge of Generative AI in education alongside teachers, students, and AI education specialists. This event will feature a panel discussion followed by an interactive workshop, designed to listen to the voices at the heart of the future of teaching and learning.
In this workshop you will:
- Explore case studies of GenAI application in educational settings.
- Participate in hands-on interactive activities that demystify GenAI concepts.
- Join the ‘GenAI Marathon’- a collaborative quiz to reinforce GenAI understanding and a creative design activity to envision the next ‘AI Classroom Hero’.
Participants will gain practical insights and inspiration to start mastering GenAI tools in their academic and professional pursuits.

You do not need any prior knowledge of AI to enjoy this event. This event is designed for anyone interested in technology’s role in education, including educators, students, and researchers.
Speakers
Madhumita Chandrasekkar is a student in the Dickson Poon School of Law and AI Literacy Resources Student, King’s College London.
Duru Karadeniz is a student in the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy at King’s College, London.
Dr Shelly Kemp is a Lecturer in Psychology Education in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London. Her current research interests are related to Education Research and the field of Cognitive Psychology.
Yiqing Liu is a PhD student in the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy, King’s College London. Her research focuses on the motivations and impact of online misogyny on Chinese social media. She has a keen interest in research topics related to social media, gender equality, and social justice. She is also an AI Literary Resources Student Partner of King’s Academy.
Dr Melanie Nasseripour is a Clinical Reader in Dental Education, in the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, King’s College London. Her main research interests are in the field of ethics, professionalism, conservative and minimal intervention dentistry as applied to oral health education and assessment.
Anh Trinh is an MA student in the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy and an AI Literary Resources Student Partner at King’s College London.

This event is part of the King’s Festival of Artificial Intelligence. Running from Tuesday 20 May to Saturday 24 May, the free, five-day festival brings together a diverse line-up of experts to consider critical questions about artificial intelligence in the context of healthcare, education, sustainability, policy, and creativity.
