In this event we will be launching the first publications of the Anthem Brazilian Studies Series.
This series, edited by Dr Vinicius M de Carvalho, aims to be at the forefront of discussions on Brazilian studies globally. The series takes a holistic and interdisciplinary approach. Titles in the series are selected for their originality, innovation and academic rigour. The series was initiated in 2019 and its three first volumes were published during the year 2020.
They are the following:
- Music Scenes and Migrations edited by David Treece
- Magazines and Modernity in Brazil edited by Felipe Botelho Correa, Monica Pimenta Velloso and Valéria Guimarães
- Affect and Realism in Contemporary Brazilian Fiction by Karl Erik Schollhammer
During the event we will be talking to the authors and to readers who will comment on the books.
