In this workshop, you will learn about some traditional techniques used in creating Hangul (Korean alphabet) calligraphy visual art, instructed by a specialist professional Korean calligraphy teacher. You will be shown how to correctly hold a brush to draw Korean alphabet characters and will be given the chance to learn the fundamental brushstrokes used in Korean calligraphy. You will be able to write your name in traditional Hangul style and take home the script as a souvenir.
This free workshop is co-organised by Modern Language Centre, KCL, and supported by Korean Cultural Centre UK.
This workshop is suitable for students of all levels, including those with no prior knowledge of Korean, calligraphy, or art!
