The Yeoh Tiong Lay Centre for Politics, Philosophy and Law is delighted to host Professor Leif Wenar for the second workshop in the 2023/24 KJuris programme.

Title

The Politics of Unity

Abstract

Unity theory posits that value comes from our unity with the world, with each other, and within ourselves. (Wenar 2023) This theory appears to affirm our confident evaluations, while overcoming problems that bedevil the traditional approaches. The questions then arise, what are the politics of unity? In what sorts of social orders can people live their most valuable lives? This paper surveys the terrain.
