The course is aimed at doctors working towards their Level 1 Competency in pleural ultrasound. The course will cover the recommendations of the Royal College of Radiology (2012) and in addition on further ultrasound skills relevant for level 2 competency.

The two-day course with a combination of lectures and practical sessions. Small groups for the workshops. Introduction to commonly used ultrasound machines. Workshops with mannequins, volunteers with normal anatomy and patients with pathology. Faculty with extensive experience. Lecture material and further reading will be available.
