Improving Dying and Death in Care Homes: The Evidence of Palliative Care Needs Rounds
Abstract
In this session, Professor Liz Forbat will describe the use of ‘Palliative Care Needs Rounds,’ as a method of systematically providing high quality specialist palliative care to care homes. She will present evidence spanning nine years, from Australia (where Needs Rounds were developed) and UK (where they’ve been examined using an implementation science framework), and outline how the approach meets practice and policy needs.
