Join us for the first 'How to...' event of the academic year, hosted by the King's Alumni Office.

As organisations move increasingly to remote or hybrid ways of working, many new graduates are entering a working world that looks remarkably different to just a few years ago. Whilst this new workplace has many benefits, there can also be challenges:

  • How do we find a sense of community in our work?
  • How do we stay motivated and keep a routine?
  • How do we continue to learn from those around us, when they’re not just a desk away?

At this event, we will be joined by Rebecca Seal (MA International Peace and Security, 2005), a freelance journalist and podcaster, and author of Solo: How to Work Alone (and Not Lose Your Mind). We will talk to Rebecca about her journey and how she learnt to respond to these challenges before solo working became as common as it is today.

The session will last 60 minutes, which will include a structured conversation followed by an opportunity for questions from the audience.

Alumni details will be passed onto the Alumni Office, who will hold your details to personalise your alumni supporter experience.
