Dr Giota Alevizou
Programme Director – Digital Futures MA
Giota has 15+ years’ experience investigating the impact of technology on paradigms and methodologies, particularly in artificial intelligence and collective action. Her research spans global informational assemblages to digital activism, focusing on civic cultures and 'smart' cities.
Dr Rob Gallagher
Programme Director – Digital Futures MA
Rob has had past roles at Concordia University, Royal Holloway, the University of East Anglia, and Manchester Metropolitan University, bringing extensive experience in research and teaching. He investigates how various digital mediums, such as videogames, memes, and ASMR videos, facilitate artistic, personal, and political expression.
Dr Nick Srnicek
Programme Director – Digital Economies MSc
A Canadian writer and academic, Nick is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Economy and the author of Platform Capitalism (Polity, 2016). His research focuses on the digital economy, monopolisation, AI, and anti-work politics.
He’s a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is regularly invited to give public talks around the world. He’s spoken at Glastonbury, Tate Britain, and Centre Pompidou. He’s also been quoted in a variety of media including The New York Times, Financial Times, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, and Libération.
