Genomics Centre Tour
The Genomics Centre focuses on high throughput Gene expression studies using microarray and Next-Generation Sequencing Technology (NGS). The microarray service will be phased out in early 2019 and our focus will shift entirely on NGS services. The NGS services currently offered are based on variations of RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) and include; ultra-low input RNA-seq, ChIP-seq and small-RNA seq. However, we're trying to expand our services to 16S-sequencing and single-cell sequencing. We have recently purchased a 10x Chromium to facilitate the single-cell sequencing. We are flexible in our approach to our work and will accept a variety of biological samples. In addition to the service aspect of the lab, we have several pieces of equipment including, the Bioanalyzer, Biomek liquid handling robot, real-time PCR machines and the MiSeq, which can be booked through an online booking system and is open to researchers after suitable training for a fee.
Registration is not required. Please contact Sucharitha Balu for more information.
