Education for a liveable future: what can we learn from ‘good enough’ practice?
10Jun

In this talk, Dr Sophie Perry will reflect on her recent study which explored three case studies of counterhegemonic environmental education. Each case faced its own unique challenges and pitfalls, and as a result contradictions and tensions in the purpose and practise of these programmes became apparent. Sophie will explore what we can learn from the inherent contradictions of transformative education and considers how such education nevertheless contributes to change.
Dr Sophie Perry is a current postdoctoral lecturer in the School of Education, Communication and Society at King’s.
