Speakers: Dr Michelle Cornes, Senior Research Fellow, HSCWRU, King’s College London, and Dr Michela Tinelli, Assistant Professorial Research Fellow, London School of Economics.

This session will discuss Discharge to Assess and Out-of-Hospital Care and explore the Out-of-Hospital Care Models (OOHCM) models and services that are being developed for people who are homeless, with the contributions of social workers and CQC registered care providers.

Dr Cornes' research interests centre around the health and social care workforce and its intersection with housing and homelessness. She is Principal Investigator of an evaluation of the Out-of-Hospital Care Models (OOHCM) programme for people experiencing homelessness, a study funded by the Department of Health and Social Care.

Dr Tinelli is health economist for two NIHR School for Social Care Research projects led by King's College London and is co-leading the OOHCM evaluation. The two projects look respectively at strengthening adult safeguarding responses to homelessness and self-neglect and social care responses to self-neglect and hoarding among older people.
