This seminar follows on from the King’s symposium held in December 2020 From feeling to knowing – putting imagination and lived experience and at the heart of understanding illness, which focused on the phenomenological approach taken by the delivery and research teams on the Stroke Odysseys project.

The seminar will introduce the SHAPER programme to a wider King’s audience, setting out our intention to build King’s reputation as a major contributor in the arts, health and wellbeing arena and inviting collaboration from interested academics and those working with the arts from a multitude of disciplines for future arts and health programmes. It will also discuss the challenges brought on by COVID-19 and the adaptations this has instigated in delivery and research programmes.

Chair

The seminar will be chaired by Professor Carmine Pariante, SHAPER co-lead and Professor of Biological Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London.
