Cybersecurity is really, really difficult! It's difficult to achieve, to apply, to understand, to teach and even to explain!
We need a more disruptive approach.
Luca Viganò, Professor and Head of the Cybersecurity Group of the Department of Informatics, has some new, disruptive ideas on how to help anyone learn the fundamentals of cybersecurity, and he's bringing his friends Nicolas Cage and Peppa Pig along for the ride.
In his Cybersecurity Show and Tell, he'll demonstrate how using different media texts, characters and storytelling can teach or explain complicated ideas such as those underlying notions and results in mathematics and science, and in particular in cybersecurity.
Speaker:
Luca Viganò is a Professor at the Department of Informatics of King's College London. He is also of the Cybersecurity (CYS) group, which studies design, modelling, analysis, verification and testing of networks and systems in order to tackle cybersecurity and privacy problems that are important to industry, society and everyone living in a technologically dependent world. Luca is also Global Envoy for King's College London and Vice Dean (Enterprise & Engagement) of the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences.
