Each workshop will cover a different core method, so you can attend this standalone workshop, or all three as a series to gain a rounded overview. The workshops will take place across different King’s campuses to ensure they are open and accessible to people across the King’s community, as well our local communities.
Supporting the One King's Impact approach
One King’s Impact is the University’s approach to uniting our assets and expertise to actively address urgent and deep-rooted global issues. The approach fosters connections and collaborations, and cultivates an environment where students, staff and partners receive support to achieve tangible impact across research, education and service, including financial support through the One King’s Impact Fund and networking and training opportunities through the King's Impact Changemakers network.
Some of the core components of the One King’s Impact approach include service with communities uniting with education and research, organising new communities to tackle identified issues, collaborating with external stakeholders to co-create and co-deliver positive changes and community-led solutions for people, planet and society. This is why we think community organising offers an innovative and exciting approach to supporting our goals!
These workshops are designed to support applications to the One King’s Impact Fund, each covering different techniques to support collaboration, co-creation and co-delivery with communities, and how to strategize building power and taking action. However anyone in or linked to the King’s community is welcome to attend. Those attending the bitesize training are more than welcome to also attend any or all the workshops.
