Join the Chaplaincy team on a 4-day trip to the beautiful island of Lindisfarne in Northumberland after the end of exams, a wonderful way to end the academic year.

Also known as Holy Island, Lindisfarne was home to one of England's most famous saints - Cuthbert. Cuthbert moved to Lindisfarne at about the age of 30 and lived there for 10 years. He ran the monastery as its Prior, before moving to the more remote and larger island of Inner Farne. Learn more about Cuthbert's life.

We will be staying in a retreat centre called Marygate House. The trip will include a tour of Lindisfarne Priory, a couple of light sessions telling the stories of the island, and plenty of walks. Lindisfarne is a tidal island, so we hope to walk the last mile of the journey across the sand like pilgrims of old (those who can't can take a taxi). Despite the island's small size, there's even a pub or two.

The cost of the trip is £250 full board excluding travel. Travel - if you have a student railcard this will cost around £90. We can offer a small bursary to help with the cost of the trip - please talk to us if you are interested.

To sign up, or if you have any questions, please email us: chaplaincy@kcl.ac.uk. The booking deadline is Friday 23rd February. We have a limited number of places so please sign up as soon as you can!
