Chair: Dr Hager Ben Jaffel, Research associate at the French National Centre for Scientific Research
Speaker: Kristie Macrakis, Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the School of History and Sociology at Georgia Tech.
This is a works-in-progress talk about a book on espionage for MIT’s Essential Knowledge Series. I will describe my assignment, the challenges, and how I am going about it. The goal of the little books (40,000 words) is to offer a concise introduction to the field capturing its essence. I will present the chapter outline, rationale and one sample chapter on “The Spy.” I am looking for input and feedback from specialists in the field even though the book is intended for non-specialists.
