Join the Global Institute for Women's Leadership – now part of King's Business School – and Ipsos UK for an International Women’s Day conversation between the Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson MP, Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities, and Julia Gillard, GIWL Chair and former Prime Minister of Australia.

They’ll discuss Phillipson’s career journey – from her working-class upbringing in Sunderland and running a refuge for women and children affected by domestic violence, to joining Sir Keir Starmer’s frontbench team – as well as the government’s priorities for advancing women’s rights, including tackling pay disparities and challenging gender stereotypes and misogyny in schools.

Joining them will be Kelly Beaver MBE, Chief Executive of Ipsos in the UK and Ireland, who will share findings from our annual global IWD survey, which looks at views on inclusion in business and politics, attitudes to gender equality, and how different generations – and young people in particular – perceive these issues today.
