A series of interviews with leading practitioners about their arbitration trajectory and work. The interviews feature renowned arbitrators, as well as counsel, academics, judges and institutional representatives that have significantly contributed to the development of international arbitration. The interviews offer attendants the opportunity to get to know valuable details about the background, views and thinking behind some of the most well-known faces in international arbitration. SPEAKERS:
Nigel Blackaby KC is Partner and Co-Head of Latin America Practice at Freshfields. Recognised as an 'undisputed leader in his field', Nigel has acted as counsel and arbitrator in over 100 ad hoc and institutional arbitrations conducted in English and Spanish (including over 30 investment arbitrations). He has particular expertise in Latin America and energy and mining disputes. He is co-author of the leading book Redfern and Hunter on International Arbitration (Oxford University Press, 2023)
Dr Manuel Penadés is an arbitration expert at King’s College London and independent arbitrator.
Marta Jarque is a partner in the London office of Clyde & Co.
