Energy Saving Tips on Campus

Saving energy on campus is something we can all take part in. Simple, everyday actions make a significant difference when it comes to reducing energy use. By being mindful of your habits and choosing sustainable options, you’re helping to support a better campus for everyone.

Home away from home

While on campus, remember to turn off lights and equipment in study rooms or classrooms when they are no longer in use. Report any energy wastage, such as unnecessary lighting or dripping taps, to campus facilities teams. Look out for the ASK signage posted around campus with details on how to report issues.

Every small effort adds up. By minimising device usage during lecture, choosing energy-efficient transportation, you can help King’s move closer to its sustainability goals.

Shared spaces

In group study rooms or labs, encourage your group to turn off equipment e.g. projectors, computers, or lighting when not in use.
