The next UNFCCC Conference of the Parties, COP29, is taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 11-22 November 2024.

King’s is officially admitted as a non-governmental organisation (NGO) Observer to the COP negotiations and has nominated delegates to attend the Intersessional meetings and COPs. You can find out more about the delegates below. The process is coordinated for the whole university by King’s Climate & Sustainability, in partnership with the Centre for Climate Law & Governance.

King's is hosting the Post-COP29 Outcomes Forum: Pathway to COP30 with the Climate Action Coalition and DIPLOMAT Magazine on 4 December. Last year's event featured high-profile speakers including The Rt Hon Ed Miliband MP, Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero and The Rt Hon Theresa May, former UK Prime Minister. You can find out more about the event below, including how to register interest to attend or watch online.
