Sustainability seminar seriesWe are proud to offer Carbon Literacy Training, an award-winning, accredited training developed by the Carbon Literacy Project. Structured as an interactive and discussion-based session, the training covers the science and impacts of climate change, as well as specific actions we can implement to reduce emissions. Participants will be guided to make two pledges aimed at reducing emissions individually as well as collectively. Upon completion of the course and fulfillment of the two pledges, participants will receive certification as Carbon Literate individuals. Carbon Literacy Training is 7 hours worth of training, currently being offered face-to-face over 2 half-day sessions. King's offers Carbon Literacy Training for all current students and staff, accredited (officially recognised) by the Carbon Literacy Project.
Climate Fresk is an interactive climate education workshop where participants use collective intelligence to arrange 40 cards that help you to identify and understand the causes and consequences of the climate crisis, before discussing the individual and collective action we can take. Upon completion of the workshop, participants have the opportunity to become Climate Fresk Facilitators, helping us to run more workshops and spread the word in our community. All participants will additionally receive a digital badge and certificate on completion of the workshop, which can be shared on LinkedIn and with prospective employers.
